Trying To Vacate Your Life Is Not The Answer
The story of Judas the disciple of Jesus is a very fascinating story, i havent followed on it so much to understand a lot about him but i followed Jesus to understand a lot about Judas.
1. Judas was among the 72 disciples that went to different towns preaching about Jesus and cast out demons in his name and came rejoicing.
2. Judas was among the disciples that walked closely with Jesus to know the words of Jesus and even see his miracles and wonders.
3. Judas was among the disciples that feed the 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves.
4. Judas was there when Jesus walked on water and saw Jesus save Peter from drowning.
5. Judas was at the table when Jesus said one of you will betray me, he was even there when the people shouted free Barnabas.
What is it that we understand about Judas.
1. Judas should have been wiser than normal folks.
2. Judas should have won the heart of Jesus.
3. Judas should have been trusted so much that Jesus told him to handle finances.
4. Judas should have caught the heart of Jesus for Jesus to call him.
5. Judas was special.
I was asked a question by one of the young men at church, 'If i had the chance would i choose differently' i answered 'No'. My reason was simple, 'Because even though i made many mistakes i have no regrets'. In my life, in my call, in my experience and in my journey i have never felt or experienced a time when God didnt exist, he was always there continualy encouraging me and building me.
I have met so many friends in life, friends who never made it in their careers, friends who are sick, friends who separated with their spouses, friends who have been so abused that they want to just runaway but they can't find their way out, basically friends that have went through so much that even the thought of deliverance is discouraging their hearts because they tried it but it doesnt work.
In Rhythm we need to be able to take responsibility and ownership of our own failures but one thing we need to keep in mind is that trying to vacate our lives is not the answer. We always speak about taking a vacation because we're tired but i have learned that people are not tired because the things they do but because of the lives they live or lived.
Judas was so discouraged after selling Jesus out that even though he knew:
1. Jesus loved him.
2. Jesus would forgive him.
3. Jesus would take him back.
4. Jesus would encourage him.
5. Jesus would reinstate him.
Yet Judas was so discouraged that he took his own life, he wanted to vacate his life so that he would runaway from his situations.
So many of us are going and have went through situations and now we're stuck but God is able to bring us back on our feet. We're able to rise again and conquer the world.
Its high time to act upon what you know Christ called you to be, you are a strong steady and fearless somebody who can do what they can to resemble Christ wherever we work or school. Situations we face do not define us, we can become more, even beter than we think.
