BE INCREDIBLE!

BE INCREDIBLE!

After spending that much energy, he stopped and looked at where he was going too and it looked so far that he could not see. He looked down as if he was discouraged, he looked down as if he was disappointed, he looked down as if he wanted to go back. When he began to lift up his head, the heat from the sun was burning his skin, ‘can he take more of that, can he continue, will he survive the race’ people started asking, he looked around there was nobody there but he could hear people’s voices as if they were close to him. He then realised that people are watching, though they are not there, they are paying attention to what is happening. He had to make a decision but one thing that people didn’t know is that the decision was made when he began to run.

He was exhausted, his body felt like it was numb, his body joints wanted to sleep, he goes down just to kneel, he looks around and other runners pass him as he was kneeling down, other runners stop with him and say ‘let’s just quite’, he looks at them with a smile, other runners fell down because they couldn’t take it anymore, some stopped to motivate him, but his decision was already made.

Out of the blue a young boy comes to him and gave him water to drink, he couldn’t resist but to ask for another one. He stood up as if he never ran before, he looked at where he was going and looked at the boy who gave him water and said ‘since well I know that people are watching, it is becoming more intimidating and just because they choose to watch me, I am going to give them something amazing, something incredible’, the boy smiled back at him as he looked at where he was going, he exhaled and continued to run, run, and never stopped running until he made it to the end.

When he arrived he didn’t show any sign of exhaustion, and he didn’t show the world that he ran so far that not anyone could ever make it. He was not the first one but he was incredible, he was not the best but he motivated many young people. He was not the only one running but he stood out.

When he was interviewed he said ‘once you accept that people are watching, once you accept that there are people who are like you and those people need inspiration and motivation in order for them to keep moving forward, you have no other option but to keep on running because you have to make the world remember that they have one chance to be incredible, which is now because it is important to live a mark in this world”.

How many of us are living lives that are incredible, lives that are centred on a moment. Because once one realizes that he has one moment to change the world then he will understand that it takes one moment to change the entire world. Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Walter Sizulu, Solomon Mahlangu and many more realized that, and they made their moment count.

Our generation has found themselves behind closed doors, the life they are exposed too is a life full of impossibilities, they live like there is nothing to look up to, dreams that change your way of thinking, dreams that can make you bigger than who you wanted to be like, and dreams that makes people depend on you instead of you depending on them. We are overwhelmed by the poverty mind-set that suggests that you will never go anywhere in life unless you trust a billionaire with your plans in life. A man once said think outside the box, yes I agree people need to do that but I also want to challenge you to thinking within the box.

Within the box lies broken dreams; within the box lie poverty and many more things that you see around your community, family and friends. You need to think within the box because there you will find your success once and your way out, ‘study your situation’. Like the man who was running he studied his situation, he noticed that he is tired, he was numb, he wanted to rest after realizing that he decided to keep running, he thought within the box, studied his situation and decided to keep running and there he found his success.

“Positions cannot make you what you are not, but how you think of yours3elf can make you live like a slave when you were meant to be a king. The problem with a fault finding mentality is that it makes you want to change the past constantly and in so doing miss the gift in the present and not see the future” Koketso Molaolwe (your miracle a miracle)

He also contends…

“Most people can relate with the fact that there are different parts to our lives still being one person. Our wholeness is a collection of different parts of us. Your ability to collect all these different parts of yourself and bring about harmony enables you to create your own melody of life, dance to your own tune and still live with others” Koketso Molaolwe (Living now)

One can never become incredible unless they live their lives as if they are in a boxing ring, whereby people not only fight for money but fight to survive, fight for their lives, and fight to overcome.  Being incredible does not require much but to be open-minded, focused, and most importantly using a simple moment to become greater than you were yesterday. Let us study the situation that the runner went through, he came from afar but he didn’t bother to look back because he knew, he had a long way to go but he was not discouraged, though he was exhausted he still smiled, though the body was sore he kept on moving forward, the only thing he did was promise the boy who brought him water that he show people something incredible, which was about him reaching his goal.

Let’s take it like this, when I published my first book I had no money but since I knew that I chose to keep moving, I had no editor but I chose to keep moving, I had no cover but I chose to keep moving and because I chose to keep moving doors started opening and I published and launched my book and today I am greater and more incredible because I chose to become more even though I had nothing.

Here’s the thing, unless you dream big you will never become big, unless you act on your dreams, you will always be known as a dreamer. Being incredible requires you to live an incredible life by acting on your dreams. “Everyone can rise above their circumstances and chive success if they are dedicated to and are passionate about what they do” Nelson Mandela
