Growing Pains
More than we want to admit the challenge in our pilgrimage is growth. We have a problem to commit because in growing there are situations that we face and so we get comfortable with our relatonship with God, being an infant and drinking milk as Apostle Paul puts it, as long as we go to heaven. Were afraid to step into destiny, identity and power because were living lives of abstinance, were abstaning from becoming the best were created to be so we hide from change and settle with pay check to pay check life, settle with porverty, settle with pain in our bodies, settle with the family that hates progress and education and settle with being in the same place, the same season every year.
Christianity in the dark ages played a huge role, they had power over Europe and they needed to expand their borders but there was an external force that came in and wanted to rule over their lands. Christianity had two options whether they allow themselves to be ruled by Muslims or moors from Africa or they fight for their religion. I shared this story one too many times, but we know that Christianity had weakened and they needed to support the military or solders with weapons and more men so that they can head to war and win. They sold their properties so that they can support men with military resources. They ended up winning and God revealed himself as a God who is still alive and fights for his people. Christianity was able to change and adapt to the times political situations so that they can survive till today. Not that they conformed but they dominated the political life and western way of life.
2Corinthians 4:8 -10 "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body."
I have come to realise that as Christ is the image of the invisible God, we too are the image of Christ, as his word suggests we are the body of Christ. If we are Gods representatives in this world David says 'never have i seen the righteous forsaken' which is intresting because it means even though im trying and im surrounded by pain God is still for me. Even when im persuing joy and the are situations which are never ending and it seems like they have power over me but im not forsaken. We need to chase after our hearts desires and allow the pains of growth groom us to what God designed us to be, let us move from comfortability to raging against the storm because God wants us to dominate.
Everytime when we hear a song or when we see someone dance, pay attention to the rhytm because as the beat follows another, as a move follows another you are also following Christ and he will be your barner and fight for you against all your enemies.
Against:-
Porverty
Pain
Lack
Sickness
Need
Abuse
Hatren
Death and etc.
He will be there. All you have to do is to follow him i to your destiny.
