#BlackMentality by William Seitshiro
I had a conversation with a friend of mine and we were talking about what the deacon of the church bought and how it made commotion in the church.
Deacon
A decon bought two cameras in the church and tv screens for almost all rooms in the church. The cameras were meant to show people who are in any room of the church what was happening in the service is going on, at that moment.
The deacon's intention is to make everything convenient, even though the cameras are for filming and not good quality. But his intention was good, his intention was to make sure the word is heard by everyone in the church.
Friend
Change is not a problem but how change is brought then it can be problematic. When he bought those cameras we saw a great improvement but he looked down on protocol and went passed it like he was above it. We need a generation that understands that they are not above the law, constitution and protocol, as much as other are obliged to follow it they too should know that they will follow it.
We are all obliged to follow the constitution not to say that you do not have a say but you do not do anything harp-hazzardly when there is a board to regard.
----------------------------------------------
In this scenario change is not an issue, but I want you to pay attention to how much we as black people entertain the situation and talk about it, exchange words either bad or good it doesnt matter because it feels good to the other party but bad to other.
When I was growing up in Mamelodi I used to listen to 2 pac he would talk about changes and he said something profound
Lesane Parish Crook ( Tupac Amaru Shakur) wrote, " Take the evil out the people, they'll be acting right.
'Cause both black and white are smokin' crack tonight.
And only time we chill is when we kill each other.
It takes skill to be real, time to heal each other.
And although it seems heaven sent,
we ain't ready to see a black President.
It ain't a secret don't conceal the fact...
the penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with blacks.
But some things will never change.
Try to show another way, but they stayin' in the dope game.
Now tell me what's a mother to do?
Bein' real don't appeal to the brother in you.
You gotta operate the easy way.
"I made a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way.
Sellin' crack to the kids. "I gotta get paid,"
Well hey, well that's the way it is."-changes
We always co ceal the truth we always say white people have destroyed our lives but if you look at a behavior of a black person you will notice that people are content with fighting and killing each other. We entertain fighting and killing each other than try find a solution to the problem or a way out of kasi negative side. The deacon was wrong but we are all growing in life and we make mistakes and sometimes we think we are above another person but we need to sit down and talk not fight.
I worry about our people, I worry because we always find ourselves destroying each other than trying to make it in life or build each. People looked at 2pac as a person who causes havock in the community I believe that he had some positive side in him because he once said " Come listen to my truest thoughts, my truest feelings, All my peers doing years beyond drug dealing,How many caskets can we witness, Before we see it's hard to live,This life without God, so we must ask forgiveness, Ask mama why i got this urge to die, Witness the tears falling free from my eyes, Before she could reply".
Our problemike 2pac said is that we are not tired, we get tkred lf trying to fix situations, we get tired of going to school or fighting to make It in life but we never get tired of killing each other, destroying each other and bringing each other down.
When are we we going to stand with each other?
When are we going to help each other?
When are we going to love each other?
Whe are we going to see that we are created to be strong African people? (Notice I dint says black)
We need to stel out of the the black zone, a zone where you are considered stupid and problematic ans become a strong African and woman.
I am William 'Hlogi' Seitshiro and these are my words.
