The UnUsual

A clean freak, his friends called him. A naughty but quiet person some described him. A Giver, people who haven’t met him would say. Respected man, lover of wisdom, and a lover of Books his best friend describes. Many people describe him differently, if people were to write a book about him, they would write different things about him. Yet among all the descriptions his mother’s description stood out, she would always say “he is nothing like his father” and Charles which is his birth name, he would cry when his mother says that.
He saw himself as the simplest person who has fallen deeply in love with book and nothing can change that. When you walk in his apartment, his floor is supper clean, his desktop is well organised, his bed room is never untidy, women he dates are not very much interesting and they do not read, they can’t even think for themselves.
Multi-Millionaire, who inherited everything from his father at the age of 16, he loves reading books (on business, soccer, history, and novels, never went to varsity, loves being in the company of his friends. He is a board member of one of the most successful construction companies and also has shares of other 16 companies but most of all he has shares of a soccer league in his country and also has shares on three soccer teams. What was surprising with him is that he owned the biggest library in the continent, he did not inherit the library but he builds it because he has love for books, the library hosts of the 1st editions that do not exists today and books that were not published but written and stored by best authors of the early ages, people love his contribution to the society but they do not know him, they just know his name and his staff.
Since he has inherited all these in a young age, he saw no need to go to school, but to save money, invest in property and buy book to read. He lives like normal people do, only his best friend know how wealthy he is. He doesn’t talk about his money, he does not floss it around, he is interested in the future. The only thing he is gifted in is being a realist, he uses facts and past events, rather than hopeful feelings and wishes, to predict the future.

On a sunny morning he woke up to a brand new morning as an ordinary person, he took his long bath time, and wore his shorts, short sleeved t-shirts, wore his best sneakers as if he was not a millionaire. Took his book titled ‘the perfect lie’. His stylist prepared a suite for him and placed it in his car, yet he decided to take a walk and went to the park.  He started reading his book when he walked out of his gate, he was reading in his heart and for him it was refreshing and reviving the mind. He started walking faster and the faster he walked the faster he read, and the more he enjoyed. He read from where he left off and continued from there. He read the second chapter like it was nothing.
When he arrived at the park, kids were playing around, parents sitting and some feeding their kids, some families are on picnic. For the first time he sits down and opens his book and reads out loud “Chapter three, hmmm”. He showed interest on the book, to a point that people around him noticed that he was enjoying it. A long side him, there sat a beautiful lady who is a law graduate, at that point she is 7 years older than him (27 years of age and he was 20 years of age). She was reading a newspaper; she was known as the lion of law because she started advising lawyers at her third year because she studied way ahead of everyone, he name was Sandra.
The lady (Sandra) sitting next to him asked him, “What is it that you are reading?”, He laughed and said “a book of course” and shook his head. The lady rephrased her question, “what is the title of the book?”, “the perfect lie” he replied with a smile. The lady continued “don’t you just like how the guy gets away with murder, nice choice of book”, he replied “well, thank you. But you are talking about the perfect murder”. “Oh yes” she replied hitting her head.

Sandra was from a poor background, she was an African lady who was raised in Germany and studied law in England and finished in USA. Then came back to South Africa, she advised people that were well known and was not paid because she was not qualified. When she came back to South Africa she had clients that she advised and started making a lot of money as a criminal lawyer and many were protected when she came to their rescue.
She was known as the head of the snake, the king of lawyers and the most famous was the lion of law. She was blessed with people who potential in her to a point that she was taken to the best school around the world. She loved people and people loved her, yet she had times when she was just blonde, that people would think she doesn’t know her job.
On a sunny day, she woke up in the morning and took a long bath. She wore her short tennis dress and he golf t-shirt, she took her time with combing her hair, then after took her newspaper then went to the park. Her stylist prepared her work clothes and placed them in the car but some reason she decided to take a walk and read while going to the park. It was very unusual for her to do that but the faster she walked the more faster she read, and she enjoyed that more.
When she arrived at the park, kids were playing around, parents sitting and some feeding their kids, some families are on picnic. For the first time she sits down and opens her newspaper and reads out loud “another drug Lord goes to prison, hmmm”. She showed interest on the newspaper, to a point that people around he noticed that she was enjoying it. A long side her, there a man sat reading a book. This man was a multi-Millionaire who inherited shares, money and property from his father at the age of 16 years old, he loves reading and people never knew who he was but he changed their lives.

“what is the book all about?” she asked, he looked at her straight in her eyes and looked down and smiled…
