#BlackMentality by William Seitshiro
I have an illumination, We were not created to be black or white but to be human. Skin color should not matter, in the past people died because of the color of their skin, today pepple are judged because of the color of their skin. Nothing has ever changed, African people suffered around the globe but when we got liberated we started judging white people, maybe it makes us sleep better at night because we think they deserve it, has anything changed?
From what I have been taught we should not judge people according to their color but their character. Yet as Africans internationally we judge each other and we judge white people according their skin color. 20 years of democracy, we celebrate and throw huge parties and that's fine but the next day when interviewed you hear a politician talking about white people owning the land and we should take it back as Africans people, there is no peace in the world because of racism.
Life is not getting better but worse because white people are being judged because they are white. When one sees a white person they automatically think that they killed our brothers and sisters but the poor person was not even there. Do you even know that some people fighting against apartheid were white people.
The government has never helped when it came to this situation, they just made it worse. African people are expecting to receive everything on a silver platter because they went through apartheid. They themselves as the government are not qualified to sit on the chairs they are occupying.
Let us rethink our strategy, apartheid is never going to come back again in South Africa then why dont we let go of that fear, why dont we focus on the best things for our country like education, today if one wants the best education for his children they have to go to private school but what about a typical African student they will go to a public school and it is said that 1/5 people make I life when they attend public school.
Where are we going as African people when are we going to stop feeling sorry for ourselves? We need to get up and face the world like it owes us nothing like we never went through slaver ane apartheid and fight to get In the corporate world. Let us not lookd down on ourselves but up because that is where we are going.
We should not entertain the black mentality that suggests thT we are never going to make it because we are going to make it because we are the kings and queens of tomorrow. our goal is not to protest our goal is to be to wealthy to protest.
I wrote this to encourage you today to simply not judge people according to their skin color but according to the content of their character. Let us become the change that we want to see but mostly let us chase after success for both ourselves and the African Nation.
AFRICAN NATION ARISE, ARISE AND PROSPER!
My name is William ' Hlogi ' Seitshiro and these are my words.
